Taking a Vol Core “WC” (written communication, writing-intensive) course in any subject and want to ensure your strongest work on the writing assignments?
Take INPG 203 at the same time to get guided support without adding extra work.
It’s a 1-credit writing boost for your Vol Core “WC” course.
Quick Facts
- Corequisite: Enrolled at the same time in a Vol Core WC-designated course
- Prerequisite: ENGL 102, 112, 132, or 298
- Credit/Grading: 1.0 elective credit; Satisfactory/No Credit (S/NC) grading
How it Works
The course is flexible, built around the writing you already have to do, with no busy work.

Complete 4 writing activities across the semester:
- Meet twice with a Herbert Writing Center consultant (in person or online) at any stage of a writing project, and
- Pick 2 other writing activities of your choice (such as extra consultations, attending a writing-focused workshop or event, or making use of online writing resources designed for writers across disciplines).

Attend online 1 hour each week (whenever you choose) to stay on track with your WC-course assignments:
- Could spend this time reading, doing homework, drafting, revising–working on anything your WC-course instructor assigns; attending a workshop or event; or making use of an online writing resource.
That’s it! Everything you do supports the writing for your WC course.
How to Enroll
Enrollment is easy in this 1-credit elective. It won’t conflict with anything you’re already taking.
