Maintaining Momentum: Focused Writing Sessions for Thesis & Dissertation Writers


A series of two-day sessions across the summer designed to help graduate students who are actively writing their thesis or dissertation to better navigate the writing process and meet their goals and deadlines.


Students will spend time goal-setting, writing, and will have the opportunity to receive writing, research, and Graduate School support during the sessions.  Lunch and refreshments are included. Up to 20 writers will be accepted for participation in Summer 2024. 

Dates/times:

  • Session 1: May 22-23, 2024, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm each day
  • Session 2: June 26-27, 2024, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm each day
  • Session 3: July 24-25, 2024, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm each day

Location:

HSS 212, Judith Anderson Herbert Writing Center (In-person only; remote attendance is not available.) 

A certificate of completion will be given to those who attend all three sessions.
